Arpanaarpana

“Arpana – christened 'Appu' at People Tree, the lovable baby elephant mascot of 1984 Asian Games in India. She looks more like a gazelle on diet with her goat like characteristics of running up and down hillsides.

"She left a Lufthansa job to learn natural dyeing at Dastkar Andhra. She impressed all there with her dedication and was referred to People Tree as a desirable asset to have!

"She helped in running the store in Delhi and Goa for a couple of years until wanderlust took her again. Between assisting Sunny and Meeta for natural dye production, and research and conference work on indigo and on the historical aspect of natural dyes, she encourages people to understand the enigmatic Indian psyche, seemingly vulnerable, never fathomable!"
